We've always know that Personalized Amplification System™ family of products is a mouthful and, while Cylindrical Radiator® speaker is easier, it's still a lot of syllables. “L1”, or “el one” if you like, is easy to say and does not infringe on anyone else’s trademark. Steve-at-Bose[1]

In early 2008 Bose registered the trademarks for L1, T1, and ToneMatch. Over time I am changing the designations throughout the site from

  • L1™ to L1®
  • T1™ to T1®
  • ToneMatch™ to ToneMatch®
