Introduction

Hi Folks! My name is Matt Wahl. I'm a performing songwriter originally from Eau Claire, WI now residing just south of Washington DC. I tour as a solo act, sing and play the acoustic guitar, harmonica and Porchboard. I call my music "Fun-Loving, Sunny-Day, Acoustic Music!" It has a laid-back feel and a real fun-in-the-sun vibe to it.

Been Playing Since

I've been playing and singing full time for almost 10 years. I first started doing open mics in 1994 in Minneapolis/St. Paul while a student at the University of Minnesota. I was horrible! Or at least a lot more horrible than I am now! But I got hooked on performing and decided to make my living with my guitar, my voice and my songs!

Your Group

Solo Act! I love the energy of a band if I could put together a small band I'd love to do so. My favorite live shows are engaging singer/songwriters sharing their songs and stories. That, to me, is the most honest and open way to share songs and that is what I try to do.
